Sudanese giant Al Hilal were supposed to host Etoile Sportive du Sahel in the second leg of the quarter finals of the ongoing CAF Confederations Cup in Omdurman but the game was postponed by CAF due to political protest that was ongoing in Sudan.
This crucial encounter was rescheduled to another date and venue. Egypt and Ethiopia were the two likely places to host the game but the home side insisted they want the game to be played in Ethiopia.
According to reports reaching Eblaradio, everything has been settled in Sudan and there is peace now. With this, Al Hilal wrote officially to CAF to see if their game will be shifted back to their country but they had their appeal rejected.
CAF rejected this proposal from Al Hilal because they believe security is not assured for their officials that will honour this game and also the visiting team though there is peace now. This means the game between Al Hilal and Etoile du Sahel will still be played in Ethiopia.
This makes it very difficult for Hilal after loosing 3-1 in the first leg. They needed this encounter in front of their own fans but their wish has been turned down.
