I can do more than what Yacouba did for Kotoko – Yahaya Mohammed

One of the most speculating stories in the local media is as to whether Songne Yacouba will wear the red jersey again or not. The Burkinabe international has exhibited clearly after Kotoko’s Confederations Cup campaign that he is not ready to play for Asante Kotoko SC again.

A lot of clubs across the continent came calling for the service of Yacouba. The likes of Zesco United, Al Hilal Omdurman, Orlando Pirates etc all came on board to see if they can secure the signature of Yacouba.

With this, Kotoko is still monitoring things in order to identify a potential replacement for Yacouba when he leaves. Two players that are likely to replace Yacouba are Shafiu Mumuni of Ashantigold SC and skipper of Aduana Stars, Yahaya Mohammed.

Yahaya in an interview with Kumasi base Light FM disclosed that, he will accept Kotoko’s proposal if they come calling because it is the wish of every player in Ghana to play for the Porcupine Warriors. Yahaya concluded by saying he can do more than what Yacouba did for Kotoko.
