Ghana has a lot of footballers playing outside the country week in week out for their respective clubs. As usual, since there was no international break, the players were in action once again over the weekend.

Leicester City 0-1 Newcastle United
Newcastle secured this crucial victory last Friday night at the King Power to make sure they escaped relegation. Ghanaian winger, Christian Atsu was introduced in the last 12 minute of the game.
Crystal Palace 1-3 Man City
Jeffery Schlupp was in action this afternoon at the Selhurst Park when his side Crystal Palace lost 3-1 to Man City. Schlupp picked up an injury on the 20th minute of the game and that forced manager Roy Hougson to pull him out and brought in Senegalese Cheickhou Kouyate. Jordan Ayew remained at the bench for the entire duration.
Rotherham United 1-2 Aston Villa
Aston Villa made sure they kept on fighting for promotion after beating Rotherham 1-2 in their own pitch. Winger Albert Adomah started the game but went off for Australian international Mile Jedinak on the 37th minute.
*Athletico Madrid 2-0 Celta Vigo
Thomas Party was left out of the squad of coach Diego Simeone in their 2-0 win over Celta Vigo last Saturday.
*Espanyol 2-1 Deportivo Slaves
Both Mubarak Wakaso and Patrick Twumasi came on as their club Alaves lost to Espanyol last Saturday. Mubarak Wakaso and Patrick Twumasi all came in as a substitute for Darko Brasanac and Takashi Inui on the 79th and 80th minutes respectively.
*AS Roma 1-0 Udinese Calcio
Both Agyemang Badu and Nicholas were left at the bench in the entire minutes.
*Fiorentina 0-0 Bologna
Bologna secured a vital point at the Artemio Franchi after sharing points with Fiorentina yesterday. Godfred Donsah was brought on in the 78th minute for Andrea Poli.
*Sassuolo 0-0 Parma
At the Mapei stadium, Alfred Duncan was left at the bench as his side Sassuolo drew goalless to Parma.
*Frosinone 1-3 Inter Milan
Kwadwo Asamoah’s Inter Milan travelled to Estadio Matusa to humble Frosinone Calcio by 1-3. The former Asokwa Deportivo midfielder enjoyed all 90 minutes in that encounter.
Nantes 2-1 Lyon
Abdul Majeed Waris was adjudged man of the match after his side Nantes won 2-1 over Olympique Lyon. Waris was taken out of the game in the last minute for Gabriel Boschillia.
*Rio Ave 2-1 Vitoria de Guimaraes
Alhassan Wakaso played all 90 minutes but it was not enough as his club Guimaraes lost away to Rio Ave in the Portuguese league. Joseph was also an unused substitute in that game.
*Fenerbahce 1-1 Galatasaray
The biggest game in the Turkish Super ligue ended in a score draw last weekend. Ghanaian Andrew Ayew was an unused player in that game.
*Besiktas 2-1 Istanbul Basaksehir
Joseph Attamah Laweh played all 90 minutes in their away defeat to Besiktas. They still maintain top spot in the Turkish league.
*Bursaspor 0-1 Trabzonspor
Caleb Ekuban’s Trabzonspor picked all points away after humbling Bursaspor by 0-1 in front of their own fans. Caleb was substituted on the 90th minute for Hugo Rodalega
Genclerbiriligi 1-0 Balikesirspor
In the Turkish 1st lig, former Hearts of Oak captain, Mahatma Otoo enjoyed all 90 minutes as his side Balikesirspor lost by 1-0.
AIK 2-1 Sirius
Two Ghanaians were in this game as Enock Adu Kofi lasted 72 minutes on the pitch for his side AIK in their 2-1 win yesterday. Mohammed Saeid also saw all 90 minutes for Sirius in the same game.
*Thun 0-0 FC ST Gallen 1879
Former WAFA boys Majeed Ashimeru and Musah Nuhu lasted the entire duration for their club FC ST Gallen.
*Shandong Luneng 0-1 Dalian Yifang
Emmanuel Boateng’s name was not added to the squad as his side picked all points away from home.
*Tianjin Teda 1-1 Tianjin Tianhai
Frank Acheampong was taken off in the dying embers of the game as his side Tianjin Teda failed to pick all three points at home.
*Montreal Impact 1-0 Columbus Crew
Jonathan Mensah played all minutes, Harisson Afful missed out due to injury whiles Lalas Abubakar warmed the bench in Columbus Crew 1-0 defeat last week.
*Minnesota United 3-3 New York City FC
Ebenezer enjoyed the full 90 minutes in this six goal thriller.
*Los Angeles FC 2-0 FC Cincinnati
At the Banc California Stadium, former Liberty Professionals winger, Latif Blessing played all minutes in the 2-0 victory they secured over FC Cincinnati.
