CAF yesterday released a list of referees that will be going for the Pre-AFCON Seminar which will be held in Morocco. This is done to highlight the referees on some important things going into the AFCON which starts from 21st July to 19th July.
CAF has selected 27 central referees and 29 assistant referees for the 2019 AFCON. Daniel Nii Laryea is the only Ghanaian referee to have been selected for this major event.
The 32 year old has been the best referee in the country for the past three seasons no wonder he holds the FIFA referee badge. Laryea has been part of the referees that have been handling the CAF inter-club games being it the Champions League or the Confederations Cup.
Laryea just recently, was selected among the referees for the 2017 under 17 AFCON in Gabon. In the same year, he again honoured the WAFU tournament and was also part of the officials that handled the last CHAN that was hosted by Morocco. He has finally gotten the chance to officiate in the AFCON this year.
Congratulations Daniel Nii Laryea and all the best.
