Ghanaian forward Mahatma Otoo took to his Facebook yesterday and officially announced to his fans and other football sympathisers his contract termination with Turkish second tier side, Balikesirspor due to financial problem his club has been facing off late.
The former Hearts of Oak forward had a fine season in the Turkish second tier scoring some crucial goals for club along the season. Mahatma would have wished to extend his stay but it was a decision that will help him moved on with his career.
Mahatma Otoo on his Facebook page wrote:
Difficult but bold decision.!
For the very first time in my career, I had to rely on FIFA provisions to cancel my professional contract, effective 13th May 19, for obvious reasons.
Sincerest gratitude to BALIKESIRSPOR for the opportunity they offered and my numerous fans in Balikesir and elsewhere.
The future belongs to those who have the strong ability to ignore distractions, and stay the course with perseverance.
Just learnt of the resignation of club President Mustafa Bahçeci.
Wishing him all the best in his endeavors.
Still the Don cheers.
According to reports, after a stellar spell in Turkey, Mahatma Otoo is likely to move into the Major League Soccer (MLS) as his next destination since he has been approached by three clubs in the league.
Eblaradio wishes him all the best in his next endeavour.
