Black Stars finally land in Ghana following their round 16 exit in the AFCON

The Black Stars after exhibiting a shambolic performance in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations have finally landed in the country unexpectedly.

The team arrived early this morning around 3am at the Kotoka International Airport.

The Black Stars got eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations after losing 5-4 on penalties to Tunisia following a 1-1 draw after extra time. They came into the country without the notice of anyone after putting up a shambolic performance in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

They came around 3am local time in order to skip any form of assaults from Ghanaians. The team arrived with a contingent of players, technical team and the other management members.

Some of the players didn’t travel with the team coming to Ghana but journeyed back to their respective clubs to start their preseason. Such players include Thomas Partey, Andy Yiadom, Kassim Nuhu, Kwadwo Asamoah and Jonathan Mensah.

The awaits still continue since the Black Stars failed again. The Black Stars were anticipating to win the AFCON for the first time in 37 years but all proved futile. They got crushed from the tournament in the round 16, their worst performance since AFCON 2008.
