The Major League Soccer (MLS) enters into another exciting week with one of the fiercest rivalry in the league, the Los Angeles derby (El Trafico). Los Angeles Galaxy will be coming up against Los Angeles FC at the the Dignity Health Sports Park.
It is a game most Ghanaians will be focusing much on since two Ghanaian players will be seen in action in that crucial game. Former Ghana Premier League top scorer, Latif Blessing will be coming up against Emmanuel Boateng who is on the other side.
The El Trafico also known as the Los Angeles Derby is a manufactured derby which has produced some interesting encounters notably that scintillating 7 goal thriller in 2016 when Los Angeles Galaxy came from a 3-0 down as at 60th minute to win by 3-4. Most of their meetings ended in a drawn game.
L.A Galaxy lost their last game at home to San Jose Earthquakes by 3-1 whiles the Black and Gold lads also travelled to beat Houston Dynamos 1-3 in their last league fixture. With this motivation heading into this game, the Golden blacks will want to record their first ever win in the Los Angeles derby.
Despite losing their last league game, manager Guillermo Schelotto will not want to record a second successive loss especially at home. He has all players fit and available for Saturday’s clash, the likes of star man, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ashley Cole and the two Giovani brothers will all be seen in action.
On the other hand, Coach Bob Bradley wouldn’t want to make any changes from his team that came from a goal down to claim victory last week. The combination of Adama Diomande and Lee Nguyen is likely to be maintained whiles Latif Blessing and Carlos Vela will expecting to make it into the starting line up.
