After a short stay with the Crabs, Brazilian gaffer, Ricardo Da Rocha returned to the country yesterday to finalise a deal with Asantigold S.C as their new head coach heading into the new compaign.
The Miners made this appointment following the exit of their former head coach, Kjetil Zachariassen who left to join city rivals Asante Kotoko S.C weeks ago. The Brazilian tactician has penned down two years contract with the Miners and is expected to be unveiled to the people of Obuasi on Wednesday, 24th February, 2019.
This is not Ricardo Da Rocha’s first time in Ghana. He once managed Ebusua Dwarfs but left very early due to some reasons. He was the head coach of the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in 2007 and has also managed clubs in Saudi Arabia.
The Brazilian is expected to guide the Miners as they prepare to compete in next season’s CAF Confederations Cup. They take on Equatorial Guinean side Akonangui FC in the first round of the prelims of which Da Rocha is expected to be in the dug out.
