Ghanaian international winger, Samuel Owusu has completed a move to Al Fayha in the ongoing summer transfer from FK Cucaricki following his stellar output in the Serbian league, Ebla Radio can confirm authoritatively.
The 23 year old sealed everything with the Saudi Arabian top flight yesterday. He went through a mandatory medical test before inking a three year deal which keeps him at the club until 2022.
Samuel Owusu 23, has had a very long and tough season in 2019. He was instrumental for his former club FK Cucaricki and also for the Black Stars in the just ended 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which was staged in Egypt.
Just after a long season in Serbia, the skillful winger joined the camp of the Black Stars who pitched a training camp in Dubai for three weeks until the 29 players were reduced to the final 23. His stellar performance saw him making it into Coach Akwesi Appiah’s final AFCON squad.
In the tournament, he featured in all the games that the Black Stars honoured. He came on as a substitute in our first game against Benin, started against Cameroon, Guinea Bissau and Tunisia but unfortunately that was the end of journey for the Black Stars after been crushed out by the Carthage Eagles in the round of sixteen.
Just after the tournament when most of the players were on holidays to release stress and also relax and prepare for the upcoming season, Samuel Owusu quickly flew back to his club without any rest to help them in their Europa League qualifiers but were eliminated by Norwegian side Molde F.K
Despite been linked seriously to some clubs in Europe, the former Vision FC product has left the shores of Serbia and has now moved to Al Fayha in Saudi Arabia after been offered with an improved and a lucrative contract. Wish him all the best in his next challenge.
