Amos Frimpong commends Felix Annan for making Black Stars final AFCON squad

Captain of Asante Kotoko S.C, Amos Frimpong yesterday took to social media to congratulate teammate, Felix Annan for making it into Coach Akwesi Appiah’s final 23 man squad ahead of the 2019 Nations Cup.

Amos has been with Felix for the past years in the club. They were both part of the Black Stars B team that won the WAFU Championship in 2017. Also, they have been instrumental this season for Asante Kotoko especially in their Confederations Cup campaign.

In the ongoing Normalisation Committee Special Cup, Asante Kotoko are in the semi finals of both tier I and II of which they will be taking on Hearts of Oak and Ashantigold S.C respectively.

Felix Annan was part of coach Akwesi Appiah’s provisional 29 list that travelled to Dubai for pre AFCON camping. He featured and kept a clean sheet in Black Stars 1-0 loss to Namibia in a friendly last Sunday.

He went with another teammate Abdul Fataw Safiu who unfortunately couldn’t make the final 23. Felix has been with the senior national team though, but this is going to be his first major tournament for the Black Stars.

Amos Frimpong wrote this on his official Facebook wall:
