Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has completed his move to newly promoted side Hellas Verona on a season long loan with an option to make it a permanent deal.
The 28 year old came into the limelight just after the 2009 FIFA U20 world cup after scoring the winning kick for the Satellites in the final against Brazil. Since then, he became a constant figure in the senior national team and has featured in so many AFCON tournaments for the Black Stars.
His stellar performance and quick transition attracted Serie A side Udinese Calcio where he joined and spent five seasons with them. He has had a couple of good seasons with the Zebras but had to battle a long injury which sidelined him for almost a year.
He was loaned out to Turkish Super league side Bursaspor immediately after returning from his long injury, after his spell he returned back to his parent club Udinese Calcio where he made only four appearances in the Serie A in the just ended season (2018/19). He has once again been loaned out to another Italian top flight Hellas Verona.
This is Hellas Verona’s statement to confirm Agyemang Badu’s signing:
“Hellas Verona FC announces that it has acquired a temporary basis with a requirement, the of the player Emmanuel Agyemang Badu from Udinese Calcio companies.”
“The Ghanaian midfielder, born in 1990, has already reached the new comrades in the withdrawal of Primiero2019.”
Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has even started working at his new club where he trained with his new teammates this yesterday. They will be taking on Union Sportiva in a preseason game today of which the Ghanaian midfielder is likely to make his first appearance for the Verona base side.
