Ahead of the upcoming Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, two foreign based players Kwabena Owusu and Abass Issah have finally touched down in Egypt to join their teammates to continue with preparations towards Cameroon’s clash.
The team held their first training session last night at the Cairo International Stadium of which coach Ibrahim Tanko has confirmed he’s very impressed with the performance of his players so far.
Due to late arrival, both Kwabena Owusu and Abass Issah couldn’t train with the team yesterday but will be having their first training today, this will enhance Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s plans since he’s been with them throughout the qualifiers.
The former Salamanca CF forward has three goals in 10 appearances this season in the Spanish Segunda B for Cordoba CF whereas Mainz O5 loanee, Abass Issah hasn’t been bad so far for FC Utrecht in the Eredivise having scored two goals in 11 games.
Both players will be available for the Black Meteors as they take on Cameroon in their opening fixture of the tournament on Friday, November 8 in Cairo.
