The Black Stars of Ghana will commence preparations this evening ahead of the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
The invited 23 players are all likely to land in the country today. Harrison Afful and Mubarak Wakaso won’t be part of the team tonight after withdrawing from the squad due to injury. Left back, Gideon Mensah and Hearts of Oak skipper Fataw Mohammed are all expected to train with the team tonight.
Coach Kwesi Appiah and his lads will be training in Accra tonight before they move to the city of Cape Coast tomorrow where the game is going to be held. Skipper Andre Ayew and debutant Kudus Mohammed were all on the score sheet for their various clubs heading into the qualifiers.
The Bafana Bafanas of South Africa initially were to arrive in Ghana on Tuesday but have rescheduled it to tonight in order to adapt to things and get enough time to prepare for the crucial game coming up.
The Black Stars will be taking on South Africa on Thursday, November 8 before they travel to take on Sao Tome and Principe on Monday.
