Berekum Chelsea have reunited with former player Ahmed Adams since leaving the Golden City Park in 2014. The stalwart defender completed the deal on a free transfer.
The dependable centre-back has been without a permanent club since leaving Asante Kotoko in 2017. Initially, Ahmed Adams was linked to clubs like Elmina Sharks, Ashanti Gold etc.
Berekum Chelsea wrote on their official Facebook page;
“The defender returns to Berekum Chelsea FC after a long spell with Asante Kotoko and on a permanent deal.”
However, Ahmed Adams came into the spotlight in his spell with Berekum Chelsea from the seasons of 2012-2014. He left for Saudi Arabian side Al Shoalah before joining the Porcupine Warriors in 2015.
Ahmed Adams was an integral member of that Asante Kotoko team that clinched the MTN FA Cup in 2017 beating arc rivals Hearts of Oak by 3-1 in Tamale.
Again, his pair with Vincent Atingah in the heart of defence was very solid as the Black Stars won the maiden edition of the WAFU Championship which was staged in Cape Coast, Ghana in 2017.
