Ghanaian national, Jordan Ayew was adjudged man of the match yesterday in their 2-1 comeback victory over West Ham United in a Boxing day Premier League encounter at the Selhurst Park.
The Ghanaian national grabbed the winner for the second time against the Hammers this season having repeated what he did back in October when both sides met at the Olympic Stadium in East London.
The visitors drew first blood through Robert Snodgrass on the 57th minute when the first department had already ended barren with the two teams been less productive and clinical upfront.
The Eagles responded just eleven minutes after Jordan Ayew assisted Congolese national, Checkou Kouyate for the equaliser against his former club.
Just on the stroke of full time, when the game was heading into a stalemate, Jordan Ayew scored a sensational goal to win the game for the Eagles. He controlled the ball on the right, penetrated his way into the penalty box after going pass three West Ham defenders before lobbying the ball over goalkeeper Roberto Jiminez to win the game for Palace.
The Eagles ended up grabbing all three points leaving them ninth on the Premier league log with 26 points. Jordan Ayew’s fine Boxing Day present to the Palace fans earned the man of the match accolade at the end.
He has now netted six goals in the league for Crystal Palace remaining their top goal scorer so far in the season.
