GFA boss Kurt Okraku sends good wishes to clubs ahead of the new football season.

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Kurt Okraku has sent goodwill messages to the clubs ahead of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier league season.

The season commences this afternoon with all the games starting simultaneously at 1500GMT. Ghana has been starved with football since June 2018 after the league got halted by the “Number 12” expose which was filmed by ace investigative journalist, Anas Arimeyaw Anas.

As football returns to the country today after almost 18 months abeyance, the newly elected GFA President has send good wishes to all the clubs and has indicated he is expecting nothing but the best from them as he look to record one of the best league seasons in the history of Ghana Football under his tenure.

Mr. Kurt Okraku said;

“Whiles we expect our clubs to exhibit attractive and beautiful football this season, we also call on football loving fans to throng the various stadia and offer maximum support to their respective clubs”.

“On our part, the GFA will ensure that we put in all efforts and come up with more innovations to make this season an unforgettable one.”.

“It’s a new beginning in Ghana football and we wish all 18 clubs the best of luck in the season. May the best and deserving club win.”

The much anticipated 2019/20 Ghana league season starts this afternoon across all the various centres with some mouthwatering pairings coming up. Below is the full fixtures of match week one of the new season.
