Ghanaian international winger, Evans Mensah has completed a move to Portuguese top flight Portimonense on a one and half year loan deal from his parent club Al Duhail S.C.
The young winger, right after the Africa U-23 Championship, completed a four year deal switch from Finish side HJK Helsinki to Qatari Premier league outfit, Al Duhail S.C.
The former Inter Allies boy is heading into the Portuguese Primiera Liga until the end of the 2020/21 season. He’s been unveiled officially by his new club and will be ever ready as the league returns today from the Christmas break.
Evans Mensah 21, together with countryman Emmanuel Hackman and their other teammates will have a lot of work to do as they will have to save the team from the relegation zone. Portimonense now sit 16th on the Premiera Liga table ahead of only Pacos de Ferreira and Ave.
The 21 year old was sensational for the Black Meteors in the Africa U-23 Championship which was staged in Egypt. As a winger, his beautiful stepovers and how he take on defenders were just delightful. He netted two goals and was also included in the team of the tournament.
Portimonense will be travelling to play Boavista in week 15 of the Premiera Liga this afternoon at the Estadio do Bessa XXI.
