Emile Heskey to watch Medeama-Kotoko game in Tarkwa today

Former Liverpool FC and English national team forward, Emile Heskey will be present at the Akoon Park this afternoon to watch the crucial matchweek four encounter between Medeama S.C and Asante Kotoko S.C. He paid a working visit to the team yesterday and have decided to watch the game before moving back to his country.

Medeama S.C wrote on their official Facebook handle;

“Former England and Liverpool star, Emil Heskey paid a working visit to Medeama in Tarkwa, Ghana today

He will watch our game against Asante Kotoko at the Akoon Park.”

Emile Heskey 42, had a fantastic 18 year footballing career having played over 500 appearances for both club and countries.

He has played for clubs like Leicester City, Liverpool, Wigan Athletic, Birmingham City, Aston Villa etc. He also left to play in the Australian A-league where he featured for Newcastle Jets.

The 42 year old forward won the League Cup in 1997 with Leicester City and also finished as a runner up to David Beckham in the PFA young player of the same year. Again, he won the FA Cup in 2001 with Liverpool. With the national team, he played over 60 games and netted seven goals.

Medeama S.C will be coming up against giant Asante Kotoko at the Akoon Park this afternoon in a herculean clash as both teams eyes nothing but victory. Medeama S.C after three games have accumulated seven points having won two and drew one whereas Kotoko also have two wins and a defeat.

The Mauves and Yellows drew their last game in Dansoman whiles Asante Kotoko got humbled by Berekum Chelsea in front of their own fans which created a lot of controversies leading to a gun shot and others.

Coach Samuel Boadu will have all his key players available to select from this afternoon as they eye nothing but a victory this afternoon. On the other hand, Asante Kotoko will be approaching this game without their three key players, Empem Dacosta (suspension), Collins Ameyaw (groin) and Mudasiru Salifu who also sustained a knock last Sunday.
