As the Ghana Premier League enters into matchweek nine this weekend, Aduana Stars will be welcoming Hearts of Oak in a herculean clash this afternoon at the fortress, Nana Agyemang Badu II Park.
Both teams look to get back on winning ways after failing to pick victories in the midweek. Hearts of Oak got held to a goalless drawn game by Ashanti Gold whereas Aduana Stars were also thumped on by Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Coast.
The Dormaa based side have been sensational in the season having topped the league on two occasions. They have won all their home games this season, they did it against Inter Allies, King Faisel FC, Legon Cities FC and Medeama SC.
Also, they has one away victory so far this season and that came against Great Olympics in Accra in the second week. Two defeats on a the trot, against Eleven Wonders and just recently against buttom placed side Ebusua Dwarfs leaving them second on the league log.
However, Hearts of Oak will look to end their poor record in the Bono and Ahafo Region. The Phobians since 2015 have never recorded a win in Dormaa and will be anticipating to break that jinx today.
The Rainbow side had a bad start in the season but are beginning to pick up their pieces after eight games. They are placed 9th on the league standing with 11 points.
Hearts of Oak have managed four points in their last two games with a win in Dawu and a draw with Ashgold last Thursday in Accra.
Surprisingly Hearts of Oak since 2015 have never won a game in Dormaa and still remains winless in their last five meetings with Aduana winning two and three finishing in a draw.
