Ghana Premier league side Aduana Stars after negotiations have finally unveiled Paa Kwesi Fabin as their new head coach following the departure of W.O Tandoh.
Reports has it that, Tandoh’s coaching license isn’t equivalent to that of the GFA A License thereby leading to his sack from Aduana Stars. Paa Kwesi Fabin penned a year deal with an option to extend.
The 61 year old gaffer stated this after his unveiling;
“It’s true I have signed with Aduana Stars, I signed for one season. The club didn’t really give me a specific target but they asked me to help the team to get respectable position. For youth development, that is the main reasons why they brought me on board. Talking of the league title they have the potentials to win it.”
Fabin is one of the experienced coaches in our league having managed clubs like Heart of Lions, Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko and Inter Allies.
He’s been handed the mandate of developing young players because of how experienced he is when it comes to that field. In recent years, he’s served as the head coach of the national men’s U-17 team (Black Starlets) qualifying them to the 2017 U17 World Cup in India.
Again, he was also appointed as the youth team head coach of Uganda where he guided their U-17 to the 2019 AFCON which was staged in Darees Salam, Tanzania. Just recently after the reforms, he’s also been appointed as the new coach of the national U-23 team (Black Meteors).
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin will be coming up against Dreams FC on Sunday in his first game since taking over the “Ogya” boys in match week 12 of the ongoing Ghana Premier league.
