Ashanti Gold SC enterprising midfielder Abdul Latif Anabila has assured the Obuasi fans he’s going no where despite a strong link to Asante Kotoko SC in recent weeks.
The former Club Africaine midfielder has been sensational in the Ghanaian top flight since making his debut with New Edubiase in the 2014/15 season grinding the most promising star award. Here at Ashanti Gold, he’s repeating what he’s been known to do best and still remain as one of the fans favourite at the Len Clay Stadium.
Since wearing the yellow and black jersey, the 22 year old played an instrumental part when the Miners clinched the Normalisation Committee tier II special competition. Again, he also form part of the Black Stars B squad that finished second in the 2019 WAFU Championship which was staged in Senegal in November 2019.
Anabila, 22, grantend interviews weeks ago where he stated Asante Kotoko is a big club. He will wish to play for them since that is going to be a major step in his career. This really ignited the speculations that he’s joining the men in red leaving the Kumasi supporters in high hopes.
Just last night in an interview with Kumasi based OTEC FM, Abdul Latif Anabila has admitted he will be out of contract very soon but there are talks ongoing over a possible renewal. He said;
“My contract with Ashanti Gold will soon expire, but I’ve been approached by the management led by Champion for a contract renewal which negotiations are still ongoing.
“I will ensure Ashanti Gold Supporters to stay clam because Anabila is not going anywhere.”
