Reports from Spain and the Netherland indicates FC Barcelona have targeted AZ Akmaar young striker Myron Boadu as the alternative option if they fail to lure Lautaro Martinez in the summer transfer window.
The Blaugranas have been in a serious hunt for a centre-forward to replace Luiz Suarez who’s likely to leave the Camp Nou at the end of the season. Lautaro Martinez has been their ultimate target but looks really difficult to aquire his service since Inter Milan are also trying any means possible to keep the Argentine.
With this, the Spanish giants have identified Dutch born with Ghanaian descent Myron Boadu as the second option if they fail to sign Lautaro Martinez.
Myron Boadu has been sensational for Akmaar in the campaign before the emergence of the global pandemic which resulted in the halting of the Eredivise and other competitions. In all competitions this season, he’s made 39 appearances scoring massive 20 goals with 8 assists.
His stellar output however has propelled his side AZ Akmaar to give giants Ajax Amsterdam a tough competition in the Eredivise this season tying up with 56 points each at the top. But unfortunately, the Dutch league has been abrogated following a ban imposed on public gatherings until September in the country.
Myron 19, popping up on the radar of the Catalan giants has also got offers from clubs like Arsenal and European giant AC Milan
Myron Boadu was born in Amsterdam despite having a Ghanaian descent. He joined the AZ Akmaar academy in 2013 and got promoted to the senior team in 2018. And since then, he’s been one of the fans favourite at the Cars Jeans Stadion.
