Fidelity bank employees donate to UHAS Covid19 lab

Employees of Fidelity Bank, Ho branch, have made a donation of 1,000 cedis to the University of Health and Allied Sciences COVID-19 Testing Centre. Mr. Ken-Fred Czar, Relationship Manager of the branch’s Retail Network, presented the cheque to The Vice Chancellor, Prof. John Gyapong, at the UHAS Main Campus in Sokode-Lokoe on June 4.

On the motivation behind this personal commitment from local staff, Mr. Czar said his branch enjoys a very solid business relationship with UHAS, and staff members are very aware of the positive impact of the University on the community. He said, “we want to be part of the success story that will one day be told about the vital role the University played in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Mr. Czar also explained that as part of Fidelity’s social responsibility mandate, the bank partners regularly with local businesses and organizations and donates annually to various endeavors.

Fidelity’s corporate office has already made a one million cedi donation to the Covid-19 National Trust Fund, and is committed to do whatever it can to support the fight against the pandemic.

The Ho branch of Fidelity bank offers regular retail banking services and is located on the premises of Ho Post Office on Residency Road.
