What to expect this year’s VGMA

Per the announcements of the organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music awards, Charter house on the opening of the 22nd edition of the awards, one is to expect that the even house will defy all odds to brings fans the best.

The 21st edition saw its falls in attendance due to covid-19 even though it was celebrated in 3days .This year hasn’t ended yet but from the look of direction from the President, Nana AkuffoAddo putting a ban of concerts and events to help sustain the spread of covid-19, fans should expect something totally different for this year’s awards.

Here are somethings to expect due to covid-19 prevention protocol and restrictions.

1. VGMA might be postponed
2. Absolute virtual event with less than 50 attendees
3. Less act performance
4. Possible attendance could be awards winners and organizers only
5. Possible 1 week of the event

These predictions were made based on the immediate past year, 2020 where the event saw 3 phases of the 3-day event held at the Fantasy dome.

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was established in 2000 by Mascot to celebrate Ghanaian musicians. The awards are presented annually, and are broadcast live on GH One. The awards ceremony features performances by artists.

The First awards was in 2000, Presented by CharterHouseProductions.
